Yamaha Fazer 250 spy pics surface online!
A new spy pic of the soon to be launched faired version of the naked Yamaha Fazer 250 has cropped up online and has generated quite a buzz among two-wheeler enthusiasts. The picture of the Yamaha Fazer 250 with front fairing has been shared by an Instagram user Malkeet.
Similar to the earlier images shared, the motorcycle is very similar to naked version of FZ 25 albeit with the addition of a full fairing. The Yamaha Fazer 250 gets the single LED headlamp setup similar to the naked version of FZ 25. Interestingly, the regular Fazer based on the Yamaha FZ 2.0 is a semi-faired, twin headlamp motorcycle.
The Yamaha Fazer 250 will feature disc brakes at both front and rear. Whether Anti-lock Braking System shall be made available or not has not been confirmed by Yamaha. Suspension duties are to be taken care by standard telescopic forks up in the front while the rear is taken care by a monoshock setup. The fuel tank is expected to have a similar capacity of 14 litres which should be more than adequate.
The naked Yamaha FZ 25 weighs a not so hefty 148 kg which is normal for the segment. It would be interesting to see how much of a weight gain does the Yamaha Fazer 250 might have with the additional weight of the fairing. The new handle bar design too might contribute to a weight increase.
The Yamaha Fazer 250 is expected to be powered by the same, tried and tested 249 cc mill which is cooled by oil. The engine is fed by fuel injection and is capable of producing 20.9 PS of power. The torque figure of 20 Nm too seems about adequate for the segment but not very generous.
The Yamaha Fazer 250 is expected to carry a price tag of around INR 1.32 lakhs which is around INR 12000 more than the naked bike Yamaha FZ 25. The new Yamaha is expected to hit the showrooms this financial year.
