Volkswagen India has launched a new trim for the Virtus sedan with the Virtus GT DSG at a starting price of Rs. 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. This now becomes the most affordable entry level 1.5L GT TSI trim for the car model which is around ₹2.38 lakh cheaper than the top end GT Plus variant. The Virtus sedan with this is now available in five main trims which include Comfortline, Highline, Topline, GT, and GT Plus.
Volkswagen has positioned the Virtus GT DSG variant between the Topline AT and the GT Plus MT variant. Powering this variant is the 1.5-litre four-cylinder EVO TSI petrol engine that comes with Active Cylinder cut-off Technology (ACT) mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission. This engine hits out 148bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. Fuel economy is an ARAI-certified 19.62kmpl on this engine.

The Virtus GT DSG is available in seven colour options which include the Wild Cherry Red, Curucma Yellow, Carbon Steel Grey, Rising Blue, Candy White, Lava Blue, and Reflex Silver.
In terms of features, the Virtus GT DSG variant comes loaded with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, cruise control, and lots more.

In terms of exteriors and make this trim look different as compared to the regular variants, the GT DSG trim comes with GT badges placed on the front grille, fenders, and on tailgate. Also on this trim you get other GT touches like red colour brake callipers, GT-themed upholstery, chrome wings, red ambient lighting, and a glossy-black rear spoiler.
