Volkswagen Begins India Production of All New Passat, Launch Expected Soon

Volkswagen begins India production of the All New Passat.The All New Passat is the first luxury sedan to be produced in India using Volkswagens MQB platform.With the start of the production at its Aurangabad Plant, we expect the launch to happen real soon for the All New Passat.

The Volkswagen Passat will be available with a 2.0L TDI, 177 PS engine mated to a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Volkswagen sold the Passat until a few years ago before they stopped producing it in 2014. This all new Passat gets longer by 80mm, wider by 12mm and shorter by 13mm over the older Passat.
