The all new third generation 2017 Hyundai Verna is set to launch in India next month and will take on the likes of the 2017 Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
Hyundai India has been teasing the all new Verna recently. The company is set to launch the sedan very soon and is trying to create hype around its upcoming new car. The third generation 2017 Hyundai Verna is already sold as the Hyundai Solaris/Accent in global markets. The new car looks more like an evolution over the current car. It is still based on the Fluidic Sculpture design language that has been so popular in India. The car will get LED headlights and taillights, and will be slightly longer than the current Verna. It is based on a new platform and is expected to be even more spacious than before.
On the insides, the changes will again be evolutionary but expect a step up in plastic quality. There will be a new multifunction steering wheel, instrument cluster and a new centre console. The centre console will have a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will be borrowed from the Elantra and will support satellite navigation, Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The 2017 Hyundai Verna will get a soft touch dashboard and a dual theme layout along with features like automatic climate control and leather upholstery.
Engine options are expected to be carried forward and will include a 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine, along with a base 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engine. All engines will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the bigger engines will be also available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Safety features like 2 airbags, ABS will be standard with the top variants that will get s total of 6 airbags. Expect the 2017 Hyundai Verna to launch by the end of August 2017.
