Volkswagen India is preparing a new variant for the Vento sedan. The Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus will be positioned above the Highline trim level and is expected to go on sale by next month. It is set to get extra features like full LED headlamps with LED DRLs and tweaked LED taillights as well. The car will be priced over the Highline trim and will be the first car in its segment to come with full LED headlights. On the insides, the Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus will come with a new touchscreen infotainment system with support for MirrorLink technology, Satellite Navigation and Bluetooth. It will also carry forward features like cruise control, auto dimming IRVM, multi function flat bottom steering wheel, dual tone dashboard and rain sensing wipers. We reckon that the Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus will be offered only with the automatic petrol and diesel engines. The petrol motor will be a 1.2-litre TSI motor that develops 105 PS of max power, while the diesel will be the updated 1.5-litre 4-cylinder mill that now develops 110 PS and was first seen on the Ameo. Gearbox option will be a 7-speed dual clutch automatic which we have already seen and tested in the Ameo. This variant will also differentiate the Vento from the Ameo which comes feature loaded by itself and will step up the premium quotient for the Vento.
