Toyota has pulled the plus on the Yaris sedan for India. The Yaris production will stop at the TKM plant from today 27th of September 2021 as per the statement received from Toyota Kirloskar Motor. The Yaris sedan was introduced in India in 2018 placed above the Etios sedan. The Yaris competed with the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid and the Volkswagen Vento.
Toyota will soon launch the Toyota badged Suzuki Ciaz based sedan which will be mostly called the Belta and would take up the place of the Yaris in the lineup for the Japanese car maker.

Toyota Kirloskar has given full assurance for services and spares for atleast 10 years to the current owners of the Yaris here in India. The Toyota Yaris was available only with a Petrol engine. This 1.5L motor made 107PS of power and 140Nm of torque. Transmission options included a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed CVT automatic. Innovative features on the Yaris included a roof mounted rear AC vent along with ambient light and acoustic and vibration control glass.
