Toyota unveils the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Hybrid SUV, Bookings open Now
Toyota has unveiled the Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV in India, bookings have also been opened across Toyota dealerships and online on the website at booking amount of ₹25,000.
The Hyryder will go into production in August this year with price reveal slated during the same time period.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq in its class.
The Hyryder is available in 7 monotone and 4 dual tone body color options which include Cave Black, Sportin Red, Speedy Blue, Enticing Silver, Cafe White, Gaming Grey and Midnight Black. Dual tone colour option (with Black roof) is available with Cafe White, Sportin Red, Enticing Silver and Speedy blue.
In terms of exterior looks the Hyryder gets a typical Japanese looking face with a closed grill that comes with faux carbon fibre and chrome inserts, slim design dual DRL, headlamps placed lower into the rounded bumper and a wide air dam that gets glossy black mesh design.
The sides gets 17 inch wheels with dual tone alloys, Fiber cladding around the fenders and running board, roof rails and an panoramic electric roof.
Coming to the rear you get a very smart and funky looking tailgate that is styled prominently with slim design C shaped dual LED tail lamps, chrome inserts, large bumper with faux skid plate and integrated reverse, turn and stop reflectors placed vertically.
On the insides the Hyryder gets a premium cabin with leather wrapping on the dashboard along with faux metal inserts, 9 inch floating AVN system, heads up display, wireless charging, Seats get dark brown color leatherette upholstery and also come with ventilation feature. The instrument cluster is a digital unit while the climate control along with rear vents is also on the feature list.
Powering the Hyryder are two engine options, you get the pure hybrid version which comes powered with a 4-cylinder 1.5L Petrol engine combined with a self charging Hybrid motor with a combined power output of 115PS mated to a E-CVT automatic transmission.
You also get a mild hybrid version called the Neo Drive which comes powered by the same 1.5L Petrol engine that makes 101PS of power mated to a 5-speed manual or an automatic transmission. This version gets segment first All Wheel Drive option on it.
In terms of safety features the Hyryder gets 6 airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force, PMS, Cruise Control, Front Seat PT/FL, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control, (VSC), Advanced Body Structure, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent, Rear 3-point, Seatbelt and All Wheel Disc Brake.
