Renault had christened its next car model as the Triber. The Renault Triber will be bridging the gap between the super successful KWID hatch and the Duster SUV, Captur Cross. Renault plans the launch the Triber in the second half of 2019. The Triber is expected to have all the virtues of an MPV, spaciousness like a large spacious premium hatch and robustness of an SUV with modular seating.
The Renault Triber was code named as the RBC before it was Christened as the Triber . Renault has also released a sketch that shows only the silhouette of the Triber. The sketch shows an upright bonnet and front glass with a largish bonnet in place.

The company is more than serious about the Indian market and the New MD has all his plans laid down for a long term India strategy and has assured that the current 5 Lakh plus Renault customers in India are in for a surprise with future products planned by the French car maker.
The Triber opens up a very new segment of its own and won’t have any competition to start off with. Based on an all new platform the Triber would boast of spaciousness and modularity, the Triber would be Made for India, Designed – developed in India. Renault wants to break the stereotypes with the Triber.
Renault is expected to load the Triber with tons of equipment level and safety features. The styling seen from the test mules Spotted is said to be trendy and different with stylish DRL’s, use of chrome, dualtone interiors, touchscreen infotainment system etc. On the safety front the Renault Triber is expected to come with dual airbags right from the base model with the top models expected to get even the side curtain airbags. ABS with EBD is also expected to be standard across variants.
Powering the Renault Triber could be the 3-cylinder 1.0L Petrol engine that also powers the KWID but in a retuned state generating more power to chug the Triber.
