Renault has christened its next car model as the Triber. As the name suggests the Renault Triber is an 7-seater Micro-SUV/MPV that is based on the CMF-A platform that’s also used by the KWID. Renault plans the launch the Triber by July this year.
The Renault Triber was code named as the RBC before its christening today. Renault has also released a sketch today that shows only the silhouette of the Triber. The sketch shows an upright bonnet and front glass with a largish bonnet in place.
Renault is expected to load the Triber with all tons of equipment level and safety features. The styling is also said to be trendy with stylish DRL’s, use of chrome, dualtone interiors, touchscreen infotainment system etc. on the safety front the Renault Triber is expected to come with dual airbags right from the base model with the top models expected to get even the side curtain airbags. ABS with EBD is also expected to be standard across variants.
Powering the Renault Triber will be the 3-cylinder 1.0L Petrol engine that also powers the KWID but in a retuned state generating more power to aid the 7-seater. Transmission options would be taken care by the 5-speed manual and also an AMT option would be offered. As of now the Renault Triber has no competition in its class.
