Nissan Magnite to be Globally Unveiled on 21st October, official video & pics released
Nissan is getting all geared up to unveil the final production model of the Magnite on the 21st October. Nissan has developed the Magnite in Japan for India. This will be Nissans first Sub 4-meter sized SUV and will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra XUV 3OO.
As we reported earlier too Nissan is going all out with the Magnite as this now becomes the make or break model for the Japanese car maker, one that gave us iconic car models like the GT-R, 370Z, Leaf and many more. Nissan has also released official images and a video of the Magnite doing its final test run which can be seen with this story.
The Magnite happens to be the 1st car model that will be globally unveiled as a cart of the Nissan NEXT plan in which the Yokohama based carmaker will get as many as 12 new car models globally in the next 18 months. Coming to the Magnite, Nissan has developed the Compact SUV from ground zero specifically for emerging markets.
From the images and the video that Nissan has released to the media the Magnite looks very nicely styled with fresh design element in place. The styling on it comes with sharp body lines that give it a neat sporty look. The SUV comes with LED headlamps with neatly integrated boomerang shape DRL’s, a wide front grille that reminds you of Superman’s logo, sharp bumper lines, diamond cut dual tone alloys, blacked out roof, roof rails, blacked out wing mirrors with turn indicators, faux inserts on both the front and rear fenders, chrome door handles, large spoiler, large skid plates, neatly integrated LED tail lamps, dual tone rear bumper and a nicely chiseled our tail gate.
Nissan had globally unveiled the Magnite Concept in July this year. As per Nissan Magniteis a portmanteau of the words “magnetic” and “ignite”. Whereas magnetic highlights the design and the product attributes that will attract customers, ignite emphasizes on the beginning of a new era that Nissan wants to bring in India.
Nissan had also revealed the interior details of the Magnite in August. The upcoming SUV will come with a black and red theme with stitched fabric seats. The dual-tone dashboard comes with a unique honeycomb design pattern along with a large floating style AVN touchscreen. The dash also features four hexagonal AC vents with chrome inserts.
Powering the Nissan Magnite will be the 1.0-litre three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines. Transmission options apart from manual would b AMT and also a CVT automatic options. AMT, while the latter is likely to be paired to a CVT. The Magnite would come loaded with comfort, convenience and safety features at par with its rivals.
