Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) celebrated its third consecutive year of 30,000+ sales with the Nissan Magnite SUV, solidifying its industry impact with 1,35,303 units consolidated sales which includes domestic & exports in actuals. It symbolizes Nissan’s commitment to excellence in design from Japan and the manufacturing philosophy of ‘Make-In-India, Makes for the World’, with efficient production in India.
Nissan’s approach to the Magnite has been dynamic, offering various iterations like the Turbo, MT, the most affordable AMT, and the CVT, all designed to cater to the changing demands and preferences of Indian consumers, with prices ranging between Rs. 6.00 Lakh – Rs. 11.11 Lakh depending on the variant selected which was launched with two engine options: a 1.0-liter 71bhp/96Nm naturally aspirated petrol engine with a five-speed manual gearbox, and a more powerful 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine producing 99bhp/152Nm, available with either a five-speed manual or a CVT transmission.
Saurabh Vatsa, MD of Nissan Motor India stated, “We are immensely proud of how the Nissan Magnite has defied conventions and disrupted the B-SUV segment in India. But our success wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging our loyal customers—their trust and unwavering support have been our driving force. Building on the remarkable achievements of the Magnite, we are now embarking on an exciting journey. Our focus is on creating a new product lineup that will resonate with the discerning Indian market.”
The Nissan Magnite has achieved significant production and sales milestones since its launch, making a global impact and winning car awards. But it still has a taller curve compared to its competitors like Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, and Renault Kiger among a few others.
