Maruti Suzuki Swift AMT Automatic Launched in ZXI+ and ZDI+ Trims

Maruti Suzuki has launched the All New Swift with AMT Automatic transmission in the top end trims of both Diesel and Petrol today. Maruti Suzuki had launched the Swift in February this year when it was offered with AGS transmission in VXI, ZXI, VDI and ZDI variants, today the ZXI+ and the ZDI+ get the Automatic Transmission (AGS) option on them.

The Petrol ZXI+ AGS is priced at Rs. 7.76 Lakh while the Diesel ZDI+ AGS is priced at 8.76 Lakh. The Swift has been a brand in itself and has been one of the best sellers from India’s top car maker Maruti Suzuki.

Introducing AGS on Swift top-variants, Mr R. S. Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India said, “Swift has always scored high on customers’ expectations. With the latest evolution, the all-new Swift has reached the next level of customer delight. AGS has been very well appreciated by our Swift customers. We had customer feedback seeking convenience of AGS in the high-selling top-end variants. Accordingly, we are now offering AGS in the top-end ZXI+ and ZDI+ variants. This will further strengthen the brand Swift and enhance the popularity of Maruti Suzuki’s acclaimed two-pedal technology.”

The 2018 Maruti Swift is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol motor that develops 83 PS and a 1.3-litre diesel that develops 75 PS. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and an AGS automatic transmission (AMT). The petrol engine is rated to deliver 22 kmpl while the diesel is rated to deliver a class leading 28.4 kmpl. The new Swift will come with ABS, 2 airbags and ISOFIX seats as standard on all variants.
