Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara sells 2 lakh units in just 23 months from launch
Maruti Suzuki has announced that it crossed two lakh unit sales for the Grand Vitara in just 23 months. This is the fastest sales milestone recorded for a mid-size SUV. The popularity of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is clear as this landmark success has been achieved in less than two years since its launch in September 2022. The first one lakh units of the SUV were sold in just 12 months following its launch. The next one lakh unit sales milestone came in just 10 months.

Notably, Maruti Suzuki sold 51,315 units of the Grand Vitara in FY2023 followed by 1,21,169 units in the next fiscal. This number was strongly backed by the sales of strong hybrid and S-CNG versions which witnessed a high demand. This fiscal, the carmaker has sold 27,066 units so far and it is only expected to increase with the impending festive season.
The Grand Vitara comes packed with loads of features which include a 9-inch infotainment system, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, a wireless phone charger, panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, a premium Clarion sound system, PM 2.5 air cabin filter etc. In terms of safety, it includes six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, Hill Descent Control and Hill Hold Assist. The Grand Vitara is priced from Rs 10.99 lakh and goes all the way to Rs 19.93 lakh, ex-showroom. The strong hybrid costs Rs 18.43 lakh and the CNG starts from Rs 13.15 lakh. The Grand Vitara goes up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Skoda Khushaq, Honda Elevate and Volkswagen Virtus.
