Maruti Suzuki has announced the prices of the Grand Vitara mid-size SUV which start at Rs 10.45 lakh for the entry level Mild Hybrid version and go up to Rs. 19.65 Lakh for the fully loaded Strong Hybrid version ex showroom. Maruti Suzuki had opened the bookings for the Grand Vitara which now becomes their flagship model in July. The Grand Vitara would be retailed via Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa sales channel.

The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is available in six variants which include Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+, and Alpha+. The premium SUV can be got in nine body colour options which include- Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Chestnut Brown, Opulent Red, Arctic White with black roof, Splendid Silver with black roof, and Opulent Red with black roof.

The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara comes features like split headlamp design, new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, contrast-coloured skid plates, wraparound LED tail lights, a shark-fin antenna, a panoramic sunroof, dual-tone black and brown interior theme, a fully digital instrument display, a 360-degree camera, HUD, a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, HUD, paddle shifters, Suzuki Connect telematics, and drive modes.
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara are a choice of two engine options – the 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system and the 1.5-litre TNGA petrol motor with a strong-hybrid system. The mild hybrid unit makes 102bhp and 137Nm of torque, is mated with a five-speed manual unit and a six-speed torque converter automatic unit. An AWD system that Maruti Suzuki calls AllGrip is also available with manual variants. Maruti Suzuki claims a fuel efficiency of 21.11kmplon the mild hybid Grand Vitara.
The strong-hybrid version, also known as the Intelligent Electric Hybrid system, makes 91bhp and 122Nm via the ICE unit and 114bhp and 141Nm, mated to an e-CVT unit. The Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid comes with a standard warranty of 8 years/160,000 km on the Li-ion battery pack. Maruti Suzuki claims a best-in-class fuel-efficiency of 27.97 km/l for the Hybrid version of the Grand Vitara.
In terms of safety the Grand Vitara gets upto 6-airbags, 360 degree camera, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold assit, ESP, all wheel disc brakes, Tyre pressure monitor system, and lots more.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara rivals the segment leader Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and also the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder which it shares its underpinnings with.
