Indian car manufacturing giant, Maruti Suzuki, has just launched a special edition version of the Maruti Alto K10 called Maruti Alto K10 Plus, equipped with more value and features, at a starting price of Rs 3.40 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Maruti Alto K10 Plus is only available in the VXi trim variant. The company chose to highlight ten major features that differentiate it from the normal K10. The exterior features a rear spoiler, door moulding, chrome beltline, fog lamps, wheel arches accentuated with chrome, door handles and ORVMs that are the same colour as the body, and reverse parking sensors. The K10 Plus comes equipped with a central locking system, front power windows, and an audio syste with a piano finish as well.
The K10B 1.0 litre, three-cylinder petrol engine is used to power the Maruti Alto K10 Plus. It produces 68 PS at 6000 rpm and a torque of 90 Nm at 35000 rpm. Two types of transmission are available to send the power to the wheels, a 5-speed manual, as well as an automated manual transmission. The car has a decent fuel economy rating in both models, being 24.07 km/l.
It also comes fitted with a CNG kit, this version producing 58 hp of power and 78Nm of torque, with a fuel efficiency of 32.26 km/pl.
The Maruti Alto K10 Plus is 1515 mm in width, 3545mm long, 1475mm in height, with a 2360mm wheel base. The original Alto K10 is available in Lx, Lx(O), Lxi, Lxi(O), Vxi, and Vxi(O) variants, the last two of which come with automatic transmission. The model comes in six different colours.
The standard Alto K10 is priced at a starting price of Rs 3.30 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Lxi variant, going all the way up to Rs 4.10 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Vxi trim, equipped with an automatic gear shift. The CNG variant of the Alto K10 is available in the Lxi models with a price of Rs 4.10 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
