Mahindra Unveils the PININFARINA Designed Furio Trucks, their 1st ICV Offering
Mahindra Truck and Bus Division today unveiled the FURIO today on 24thof July in a Press Event at their Chakan manufacturing facility. The FURIO is a brand new range of Intermediate Commercial Vehicles (ICVs) and marks Mahindra’s entry into the ICV segment.
The FURIO series of Trucks will be launched in 21 different models, with 5 different engine configurations and 3 different transmission setups out of which only 7 will be launched in BSIV models, remaining models will be rolled out with the BSVI compliant engines post 2019. Of the 5 different engine configurations to be launched, 4 shall be Diesel powered and the remaining 1 shall be based on CNG power. The FURIO is completely designed by PININFARINA from Italy, a company Mahindra had recently acquired and is known for its design expertise globally.
The FURIO is positioned as the Most Profitable Investment for Truckers, with best in class mileage with 3 driving modes, low maintenance costs, best in class Viewing angles, high payload capacity and will come equipped with the safest and most comfortable and spacious cabins equipped with Best in class ventilation system. The FURIO range of trucks will also carry ahead Mahindra’s promise of Best in Class Mileage figures or Return the Vehicle Offer, and it show how much confidence the manufacturer has on his product. The FURIO range will be powered by a New light weight MDI Tech engine with FuelSmart Technology for better mileage figures than the competition.

Mahindra claims that the FURIO has been developed from Scratch with the inputs directly from Transporters in the market today, and will surely make a space for itself in the market once sales commence. The official launch is still to happen, and pricing and other engine specifications will be disclosed then.
