Made in India Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4Matic Launched in India at ₹1.55cr

Mercedes-Benz has launched the Made in India EQS 580 4Matic Luxury Electric Sedan in India priced at Rs. 1.55cr. Mercedes Benz will manufacture the EQS 580 at its Chakan plant. It may be recalled that the German car maker had launched the AMG version of the EQS just last month which is an CBU import. The Mercedes EQS 580 becomes the 1st ever Electric car to be assembled in India at the Chakan plant. Mercedes had opened bookings for the EQS 580 in India just a few weeks back.
In terms of exteriors the EQS 580 features the new ‘one bow’ design language of Mercedes-Benz which is the signature design elements for the EV which include light bars at the front and back, a coupé-styled roofline, flush door handles, and aero alloy wheels.
In terms of interiors the Mercedes EQS 580 key USP is the 56-inch single-piece MBUX Hyperscreen that is made up of three OLED screens which include a 12.3-inch driver display, a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment, and a 12.3-inch front passenger touchscreen. The electric sedan also gets multi-zone temperature control, active ambient lighting, a hi-fi surround sound system, and loads more.
In terms of looks the Mercedes EQS 580 comes with a blanked out design front grille, 21-20-inch alloys as compared to 21 on the AMG version, redesigned front and rear bumpers. On the interiors the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 comes equipped with the signature 56 inch Hyperscreen display that runs across the length of the dashboard. There are currently no direct rivals to the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 gets powered by a 107.8kWh battery pack that comes mated to two electric motors that manage to hit out a total power output of 523bhp and 856Nm of peak torque. Mercedes says the EQS 580 Electric has a total drive range of 770 km on a single charge according to the WLTP cycle with a top speed of 210kmph limited. The EQS 580 4Matic supports up to 22kW AC fast charging and 200kW DC rapid charging.
