LIVE – Volkswagen T-Roc Launched in India at Rs. 19.99 Lakh

Volkswagen has launched the T-Roc SUV in India priced at Rs. 19.99 Lakh. Volkswagen had a special Digital Launch event for the T-Roc due to the ongoing Corona Virus Pandemic. Actress Radhika Apte also graced the online launch event with Volkswagen India Managing Director Steffen Knapp. Deliveries of the Volkswagen T-Roc will begin in mid-April 2020.

Volkswagen had unveiled the T-Roc along with the Taigun, Tiguan All Space at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2020 in New Delhi. The Volkswagen T-Roc SUV will be got into India as completely Built Units (CBU). In terms of exteriors the Volkswagen T-Roc comes with a bold and progressive design, the German SUV gets the trademark latest gen VW family wide face grille. Other exterior styling details include a panoramic sunroof, dual tone alloy wheels and signature dual LED headlamps while the stylish DRL are placed lower on the bumper.  The T-Roc drives on R17 Diamond cut alloys. The side profile of the VW T-Roc is highlighted by a chrome insert that runs across the A-pillar through the roof-line and ends on the C -pillar making it look very confident. The T-Roc has a boot space of 445 liters.

In terms of the interiors the Volkswagen T-Roc gets large panoramic sunroof, paddle shifters, premium Vienna leather upholstery, automatic two zone climate control, push-button start, reverse parking camera, digital cockpit instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Powering the Volkswagen T-Roc is the 1.5L TSI EVO Petrol engine that makes 150Ps of power and 250Nm of torque. This engine comes mated with a 7-speed DSG Automatic transmission. This engine promises a balanced mixture of Power, Refinement, Efficiency. This engine comes with a unique feature called the Active Cylinder Technology that based on the driving pattern automatically adjusts the usage of the cylinders. This feature can shut of two cylinders within 30 milliseconds while driving if needed while the driver and occupants dont realize anything on the move hence enhancing the fuel efficiency.

In terms of safety the Volkswagen T-Roc comes loaded till the brim with features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic stability program, park distance control to name a few. The Volkswagen T-Roc competes with the Jeep Compass and the upcoming Skoda Karoq currently in the segment.
