LIVE – Tata Motors Unveils the Concept CURVV Electric SUV
Say hello to the Tata Curvv Concept SUV that has just been unveiled. The Concept SUV will first make its appearance as an all Electric SUV and later with the IC engine. Concept Curvv showcases Tata Motors strategy going ahead. With the Concept Curvv the car maker goes to the next Generation of its design and technological philosophy. The Concept Curvv is different by design. Dimensionally closer to a Mid Sized SUV the Concept Curvv is for the new Gen customer looking for a mid sized and high sized SUV. The Concept comes with Coupe like styling hence the Curvv name for it. The Curvv uses the All New flexible EV2 architecture platform from Tata Motors that will see many future models to be built on. The Tata Curvv will be positioned just above the Tata Nexon on its model lineup.
Tata Curvv will evolve its own new segment for new gen bold customers as per Tata Motors. The Tata Curvv EV will have a certified drive range of 500kms. The Curvv platform is ready for 4×4 models. The Tata Curvv will come with a long list of connected car features which include V to V (vehicle to vehicle) charging.
This is the first time that Tata Motors will first launch a car model in EV form and later with IC engines. By 2025 Tata Motors plans to have 10 EV models on its lineup. The Tata Curvv comes with a clean design language with a stylish EV closed face with LED strip lights highlighting it. Side la Ela do remind you of the Nexon but the coupe like roofline changes it drastically making it look very stylish. The rear profile gets a large rear glass with led lights defining it and a smart looking bumper along with slim LED stop lamps running the entire width of the SUV.
In terms of interiors the Concept Curvv comes with twin displays one for the cluster other for the AVN system. The steering is the new generation Tata design dual spoke unit with MFD buttons on it. The centre dash gets touch control Climate control unit and the centre console houses the drive dial.
Tata Motors plans to get the final version of the Curvv ready for launch in two years.
