Suzuki Motors India, part of the Global Suzuki Group today launched the Suzuki Gixxer SF in a 250cc variant at a price tag of Rs.170655.
The new Gixxer SF250 comes with a completely new engine developed in-house by Suzuki motors, and comes with a SOHC 4-valved single cyclinder power house and a 6 speed gearbox which delivers 26.5PS of power and 22.6Nm of Torque with a claimed fuel efficiency of 38.5kmpl.
The engine operates on SOCS (Suzuki Oil Cooling System) technology, which makes the bike light weight. Suzuki will sell these 250cc gixxers via ‘Suzuki Premium’ dealerships only, which are targeted towards passionate spirited bikers. The new bike comes with a BSIV engine which will be upgraded as and when new norms set in post March 2020, and will be fully manufactured at the Gurgaon facility.
The bike comes loaded with features Dual Channel ABS, LED Headlight, Digital Instrument cluster, telescopic forms, sporty dual exhaust muffler, Easy Start System Bronze finish to engine covers, newly designed Under belly cowl and newly designed matte black rims. The new Gixxer250 SF will be available in 2 colour schemes – metallic matte silver and matte black shades.
This marks Suzukis entry into Sports Touring space in India, and will be 2nd attempt after the Infamous Inazuma as a CBU import which was launched back in 2014, which in our opinion was too early for the maturing market.
