LIVE – New Jaguar XE Launched at ₹44.98Lakh

Jaguar has launched the updated XE in India today with prices starting at ₹44.98 Lakh for the base XE S both Petrol and Diesel while the top end XE SE comes in at ₹46.32 Lakh for both Petrol ans Diesel. The facelift Jaguar XE gets loads of updates on its outside, inside and performance enhancements too.

In terms of exterior design the Jaguar XE with this update gets lower and wider. The XE now comes with slim design but sharper headlamps with integrated signature DRL and animated turn indicators.

The front and rear bumpers also are new and totally redesigned. The all LED tail lamps get new styling and look more flush with the body and also sport the animated turn indicators in them. Other big changes on the XE include all new styled mesh grille, sportier 17 inch alloys.

On the inside the updates on the Jaguar XE draws its inspiration from the F-Type. Cabin updates include an all new twin screen centre console which consists of one wide infotainment display and other the instrument cluster.  The XE now comes with an digital display unit in place of the earlier older analogue instrument cluster.  

The XE also now comes with the new SportShift selector. Other features on the interior package include wireless charging pad placed on the front console, driving mode selector and ‘ClearSight’ IRVM.

The unique feature on this IRVM is that it comes powered with a a wide-angle camera placed on the rear bumper that gives the driver an unobstructed view of the rear with the help of a clever software that runs all this.

Powering the New Jaguar XE is the same capacity 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol and diesel engines but in the BS-VI compliance form. The Turbocharged Petrol engine makes 247Hp of power while the Diesel has 177Hp of power. All the engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Jaguar XE competes with the Mercedes-Benz C Class, BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4.
