LIVE – Mercedes – AMG E53 Cabriolet Launched in India at Rs 1.30 Crore
Mercedes-Benz has launched the E53 AMG Cabriolet in India at an special media event in Delhi. This also becomes the 1st auto Media Conference and launch for 2023 in India priced at Rs. 1.30 crore. The carmaker has also chosen the occasion to announce its roadmap for the Indian market in 2023. This launch also was the first media event for Santosh Iyer who is now the Managing Director for Mercedes-Benz India. The latest AMG Cabriolet will be imported into the country as CBU units.
The first launch from Mercedes-Benz this year, the E53 AMG Cabriolet becomes the German car makers fourth 53-badged model in the country.
In terms of exterior design, the Mercedes-Benz E53 AMG Cabriolet features the signature Panamericana grille with vertical slats, LED headlamps and DRLs, an aggressive design for the front bumper, two-piece LED tail lights, quad-tip exhausts, and a soft-top roof.
In terms of interiors the Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet comes loaded with features and equipment that include a large single-piece screen that houses the touchscreen infotainment system and fully digital instrument console, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel, a Burmester-sourced music system, AMG sports seats, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.
Powering this special topless car model is the 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a mild-hybrid motor generating a combined output of 429bhp and 520Nm of torque.
Transmission duties are all taken care by the nine-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels making this cabriolet an AWD model. The E53 AMG Cabriolet can takeoff from 0-100kmph in just 4.5 seconds.
