LIVE : Kia launches the much anticipated Sonet at INR 6.71 Lakh ex showroom

Kia launched the highly anticipated Compact SUV the Sonet priced at INR 6.71 Lakh ex showroom . The Sonet is Kia’s third car model in the indian market after the Seltos and the Carnival . Sonet comes loaded with a host of segment first features and multiple drivertrain and powertrain options to cater to every kind of buyer .

The Kia Sonet which was earlier showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 as a concept , stays true to its concept car avatar . The styling and the design of the Sonet makes it stand out from the competition inspite of sharing the underpinnings with the Venue . The car is offered in two trims , GT line and Tech Line .

 

The Sonet comes with 3 different engine  options –

• 1 Litre turbo Petrol ( 120Ps and 172 Nm )
• 1.2 Litre Naturally Aspirated Petrol ( 83PS and 115 Nm )
• 1.5 Litre Diesel ( 115 PS and 240 Nm mated to the AT  and 100PS/240Nm on the manual )

Transmission options include the 5-speed manual on the 1.2L Petrol, 6-speed iMT and 7-DCT on the 1.0 GDI petrol, 6-speed manual and 6-speed CVT automatic on the diesel engines.
