LIVE – Hyundai Aura sedan Launched prices start at Rs. 5.80 Lakh

Hyundai Motors India Ltd, today launched the all New AURA Sedan with prices starting at Rs. 5.80 Lakh. Targeted at young aspirational customers , Hyundai hopes to redefine the budget sedan segment .

Design –
Hyundai Aura with its contemporary design and interior offers a bold character establishing Hyundai’s signature design language “ Sensuous Sportiness”. It comes with Twin Boomerang DRL in front and a Satin front Grille with projector head and fog lamps. The Z shaped LED tail lamps also help it stand out.
The Coupè like styling and solid wheel arches and 15 inches diamond cut alloy wheel make the side profile very intriguing. The wide stance and sporty bumper at the back with the chrome and glossy black on the trunk lid make it stand out. The instrument cluster is asymmetrical and catchy.

Engine and Transmission

Hyundai Aura comes with 1.2 litre BS6 ECOTORQ Diesel engine , Kappa 1.0 litre BS6 turbo GDI petrol and a 1.2 Litre MPI BS6 Petrol. Developed by Hyundai R&D, the ECOTORQ Diesel BS 6 Engine is Cleaner-Greener, powerful as well as a fuel-efficient engine. It consists of 2000 bar Fuel Injection System that allows better combustion and fuel efficiency. The crankshaft bearing with optimized thickness and material reduce friction allows excellent driving even in city conditions and enhances engine life. The transmission has been subjected to rigorous durability tests for ensuring High Gear Strength with better Clutch Friction Materials to offer the best performance at high speeds, off-road, hillsides and harsh climatic conditions.

The All New AURA comes with Smart Auto AMT which is Easy to Use and uses Advanced In–House Hyundai Technology Electric Actuator which enables smooth shifting of gears.

The 1.2 L kappa Petrol BS6 produces 83PS@6000 rpm and a torque of 11.6 kgm/4000rpm comes with a 5MT and a AMT and expected to return a fuel economy of 20.5kmpl for the manual and 20.1 kmpl for AMT.

The 1.2 L ECOTORQ DieselBS6 produces 75 PS@4000 rpm and a torque of 19.4 kgm/1750-2250 rpm comes with a 5MT and a AMT and expected to return a fuel economy of 25.35kmpl for the manual and 25.40 for AMT.

The 1.0L turbo GDI BS6 produces 100 PS@6000 rpm and a torque of 17.5 kgm/1500-4000 rpm comes with a 5MT and expected to return a fuel economy of 20.50 kmpl.

The All New AURA is built on Strong Body Structure with integrated 65% High Strength Steel (HSS) Application that ensures light body weight with high strength. Its rigid structure is equipped with Advanced Ring Structure Application allowing increased Static & Dynamic Stiffness for Superior Safety, Low NVH and Superior Handling along with Advanced Safety System to provide the Active and Passive safety for a stress-free driving and better crash energy absorption, due to dual path structure.
The Ring Structure Design at Engine Bay, B-Pillar & C-Pillar increases static and dynamic stiffness for better rigidity.
