LIVE – Honda launch the CB200X Adventure Motorcycle at Rs.1.44 Lakh
Honda has launched the CB200X their Adventure class motorcycle today priced at Rs. 1.44 Lakh (ex-showroom Gurugram). Honda will sell the CB200X through their Red Wing (regular dealerships) and not from the Big Wing outlets. The same would be for service of the Adv motorcycle. The Honda CB200X is available in Pearl Nightstar Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic and Sports Red paint options. Bookings are now open across Honda dealerships and also Online for it.
This is the latest model to join the CB range of motorcycles and takes heavy inspiration from the Africa Twin in terms of styling. The motorcycle gets a upright and muscular stance. The motorcycle comes with a all-LED V-shaped headlamp, black windscreen, a front-heavy faired body, a wide handlebar, engine protector and knuckle guards with turn indicators on them, all LED tail lamps. The motorcycle also comes with split-style seats with extra contouring for better comfort over longer commutes along with grab handles. You also get a LCD instrument cluster with all the needed tell tale indication on it like like Gear Position Indicator, Service Due Indicator and Battery Voltmeter with 5-level adjustable brightness.. The ignition switch is placed on the tank uniquely along with a much needed hazard switch on the handlebar.
The Honda CB200X also gets golden USD (upside down)suspension upfront and a monoshock setup at the rear. In terms of braking you get front and rear petal disc brakes system with ABS. The Adv motorcycle comes with a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels mounted with dual-purpose tyres for extra grip for off-road riding (Front 110mm & Rear 140mm). The CB200X has a kerb weight of 147kg, ground clearance of 167mm while the seat height is 810mm and the fuel tank capacity is 12-litres.
The CB200X is powered by a 184.4cc air-cooled PGM-FI single-cylinder engine same as the Hornet 2.0. This engine makes 17 bhp at 8500rpm and 16.1 Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Honda CB200X rivals the Hero XPulse 200 and also the KTM200 in it s segment.
