Hero Motocorp unveiled its first inhouse developed 200cc Premium Sports Motorcycle, the Xtreme 200 R today in Delhi. The motorcycle is aimed at strengthening Hero’s presence in the rapidly growing premium motorcycle segment. The Hero Xtreme 200 R will be available across Hero Motocorp Dealerships in April. The company will also commence bookings for the Xtreme 200 R very shortly.

The motorcycle comes with a muscular and dynamic styling and it also has an aggressive stance. The fuel tank gets bold wings with striking Xtreme graphics on it. Headlights come with white LED pilot lamps, whereas the taillight also comes with a full LED lamp. The speedometer console gets a sporty digi-analogue information cluster. The seat of this bike also comes with a new contour design.
The Xtreme 200 R gets its power from the BS-IV compliant 200cc single-cylinder engine that has a power output of 18.4 PS @8000 RPM and maximum torque of 17.1 NM @ 6500 RPM. The company claims that this motorcycle can do a 0-60 dash in 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 114 kmph.
On the safety front, the motorcycle comes with a 276 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc brakes system, along with an option of a single channel ABS system. This bike also has a 37 mm broad front fork and a 7-step adjustable rear mono-shock suspension along with a 17 inches 130/70 wide rear radial tyre.
The new motorcycle has been designed and developed by Hero Motocorp inhouse RnD team at the Hero Centre of Innovation and Technology at Jaipur.
