BMW Motorrad has launched the 2019 S1000 RR Sports Superbike in India at a price of ₹18.50 Lakh. The super motorcycle was launched by Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor in New Delhi.

2019 BMW S1000 RR had made its global debut at last years EICMA Show in Milan. As per BMW they have revised the 2019 BMW S1000RR inside out with lower overall weight and increase in performance as compared to the outgoing model.
The S 1000 RR comes with an all new design that now makes it look much more aggressive and bolder in styling. In terms of styling the new BMW S1000RR comes with twin LED projector headlamps, a new design aluminum twin spar chassis and a trellis sub-frame. In terms of instrumentation the superbike gets new color TFT instrument console with Bluetooth navigation included. In terms of safety the 2018 BMW S1000 RR comes with dynamic traction control, Shift Assist Pro and hill start assist in its feature list.
Other notable updates include 6 axis IMU with ABS and dynamic traction control. The 2019 BMW S1000RR also gets the preset ride modes which include Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race which can be set using the TFT display on the instrument cluster.
Powering the 2019 BMW S1000 RR is the all new lightweight 999cc, in-line, 4 cylinder engine with BMC ShiftCam technology. This engine makes 204 bhp power @ 13,500 rpm and 113 Nm torque @ 11,000 rpm. This engine gets mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox equipped with up/down quickshifter. This new engine is around 11kgs lighter than the outgoing model and helps cut the overall weight.
The motorcycle sports inverted forks in the front and monoshock at the read. The motorcycle also features Hayes brake systems as compared to Brembo brakes that were seen on the older model. The suspension setup now is from Marzocchi as compared to the Sachs units that were on the older model.
2019 BMW S 1000 RR goes up against the likes of the Yamaha YZF-R1, Suzuki GSX-R1000, Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R in Its segment. Bookings are now open across BMW Motorrad showrooms across the country.
