BMW has launched the 2018 X3 in India. The prices for the 2018 BMW X3 start at Rs. 49.99 Lakh. BMW is locally building the 2018 X3 at its Chennai Plant. The 2018 BMW X3 is available in two versions, X3 xDrive 20D Expedition priced at Rs. 49.99 Lakh and X3 xDrive 20d Luxury Line priced at 56.70 Lakh.
This is the third generation of the BMW X3 the SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) as BMW calls it. Changes on the 2018 BMW X3 include a bolder front, dynamic lines on the sides and an refreshed and redesigned rear styling. The 2018 X3 gets full adaptive LED Headlights with LED Fog lamps. On the rear too the tail lights now come with all LED glow. The rear now gets also gets a low slung spoiler. The exhausts are placed on both sides and come embedded in chrome. The Luxury Line comes with chrome radiator grille bars, two tone underbody protection and 19 inch light alloys.
On the inside the 2018 BMW X3 gets a redesigned dashboard and new seats. The cabin now looks and feels a lot larger and now gets ambient lighting, the rear seats get adjustable backrests and also rear window unblinds. Panoramic sun roof is also on the list of goodies of the X3. The vehicle boasts a boot space of 550 litres expandable to 1600 litres using the 40-60 rear seats. The Luxury Line comes with Leather Upholstery in Vernasca with hand stitch that runs around the dash and door pads that also comes with wood inserts.
On the technology side the 2018 BMW X3 gets BMW Display key, Welcome light carpet, rear view camera with park assist, wireless charging, 12.3 inch infotainment system with 600 watts of audio capability via the Harman with Apple CarPlay and BMW Apps, BMW Touch control, to name a few.
The 2018 BMW X3 comes powered 2.0 Litre 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo Diesel engine that has 190hp of power and 400Nm of torque on it. This engine is mated to a 8-speed steptronic automatic transmission and can do a 0-100kmph in 8 seconds. The X3 comes with an intelligent xDrive All Wheel Drive system, Adaptive suspension and Electronically controlled differential brake locks (ADB-X) and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC).
The 2018 BMW X3 comes with 3 years/40,000 KMS warranty which can be extended to a 10 year/2,00,000kms warranty if needed. BMW says the Petrol version of the 2018 X3 would be launched later in the year.
