LIVE! Bajaj Dominar 400 Launched At A Mouth Watering Rs. 1.36 Lakhs

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is the new flagship motorcycle for the brand and will take on the likes of the KTM Duke 200, Mahindra Mojo and Royal Enfield Classic 350. The non-ABS version is priced at Rs. 1.36 lakhs, while the ABS variant has been priced at Rs. 1.50 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi.

Showcased first at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo as the CS400, Bajaj Auto Limited has finally launched their new flagship offering in India called as the Dominar 400. This is a new range of power cruiser motorcycles from the Indian motorcycle manufacturer and comes powered by a 400cc single cylinder motor. The name Dominar was chosen after probable names like the VS400 and the Kratos 400. The bike looks a lot more muscular this time around and is nothing like you have seen from Bajaj before. It gets full LED headlights, a muscular fuel tank and widely split dual LED taillight strips. The bike has an aggressive look that will surely turn heads and tempt buyers.

The bike is The Bajaj Dominar 400 shares its powertrain with the KTM Duke 390 which means its gets a 373cc motor that develops 34.5 BHP at 8,000 RPM and 35 Nm at 8,500 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and comes equipped with a slipper clutch as well. The bike has kerb weight of 182 kgs and comes with a 13-litre fuel tank. The Bajaj Domimar 400 comes with dual channel ABS which is again a first in this segment. It is capable of hitting 100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 148 kmph.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is based on a Perimeter Frame and measures 2,156mm in length, 1,112mm in height, 813mm wide and has a wheelbase of 1,453mm. Suspension duties are carried out by 43 mm Telescopic Forks upfront and multi step adjustable monoshock at the rear. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels with 110-section tyre at the front and a wide 150-section tyre at the rear. This could be the bike that could create the same kind of storm as the Pulsar did back in 2001. We will be riding the Bajaj Dominar 400 very soon, so stay tuned to this space for more.
