Mumbai, January 15, 2020: Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today launched the new face of its Q family – the Audi Q8. Priced at ₹1.33 crore onwards the Audi Q8 comes equipped with a 3.0L TSFI engine generating 340 bhp and 500Nm of torque and is mated you a 8-speed tiptronic transmission which propels the car from 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 250 kmph. The flagship SUV comes with a host of standard features which includes a panoramic sunroof, frameless doors and HD Matrix LED headlights.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said “With the launch of the Audi Q8, we are targeting individuals who want their car to match their personality. Each Audi Q8 will be made-to-order, available with plethora of customisation options to choose from; we want every Q8 in the country to look different, from the outside and the inside. Additionally the Audi Q8 offers sporty dynamics with permanent Quattro all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension with controlled damping as standard equipment. The car also comes equipped with Button-less MMI Navigation system with haptic touch response, Audi Smartphone Interface, B&O 3D Surround Sound System with 23 speakers and a total sound output of 1920 watts with myAUDI Connect. The customisation options include customised contour seats with massage function and ventilation. Four-zone automatic air conditioning and air quality package with fragrance and ioniser.
Dimensionally the car is 4.99 meters (16.4 ft) long, 2.0 meters (6.6 ft) wide, 1.71 meters (5.6 ft) tall and with a wheelbase of 3.0 meters (9.8 ft) makes the Audi Q8 one of the largest SUV’s currently on offer in the Indian market. Adding to the practicality is the high ground clearance of 254 millimetres and a massive 1,755 litres of luggage space. Audi pre-sense basic, 8 airbags, Audi Park Assist and Electronic Stabilisation Program are some of the standard safety features of the Audi Q8. Only 200 units of the all-new flagship from Audi will be sold across all dealerships pan India for an ex-showroom price of ₹1.33 Crores onwards.
