LIVE – 2019 Volkswagen Polo & Vento launched in India

Volkswagen has launched the facelift Polo & Vento in India today. The 2019 Volkswagen Polo prices start at ₹5.82 Lakh and the 2019 Volkswagen Vento prices start at ₹8.76 Lakh Ex showroom.

The 2019 Volkswagen Polo and Vento both now come with a new ‘GT Line’ Edition at no additional cost. Volkswagen Diesel cars will now come with 5 Years standard warranty.

Changes on the exteriors on the 2019 Vento include a new grille, new redesigned front and rear bumpers with restyled air dams, new design alloy wheels, new design headlights with DRL, boot lid lip spoiler, redesigned tail light.

On the inside the cabin remains similar while the top end variants come with touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, cruise control, auto-dimming Wing mirrors, reverse camera dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and an all-black colour scheme.

Powering the 2019 Volkswagen Vento is the 1.6-litre petrol engine producing 103bhp of power and 153Nm of torque while the diesel version comes with a 1.5-litre oil burner with 108bhp of power and 250Nm of torque.

Transmission options include five-speed manual for the 1.6L Petrol while the diesel also gets a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. You also have an option of the 1.2L turbo petrol hitting out 103bhp of power and 175Nm of torque mates with the seven-speed DSG auto transmission.

On the 2019 Volkswagen Polo the changes include new GTI inspired grille, all new design sharp front and rear bumpers, new style sporty alloys, special GT Line badge on the fender (for GT trim), GT Line stickers on the lower part of the doors, large blacked out boot spoiler, blacked out wing mirror housing.

On the inside the Polo gets new Checkered upholstery while the rest of the cabin styling remains same. You get touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD included on the equipment list for the Polo.

Engine options powering the 2019 Volkswagen Polo include the 1.0-litre petrol engine with 75bhp of power and 95Nm of torque, you also have the 1.5-litre diesel option that produces 89bhp of power and 230Nm of torque. The Polo GT TDi has 108bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. You also get the Polo with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol producing 103bhp and 175Nm as the Polo GT TSI. All engines come with five-speed manual while the GT TSI is only offered with a seven-speed DSG. 

The 2019 Volkswagen Polo & Vento both also get a new body color option with the Sunset Red paint shade.
