Lexus has launched the latest ES300h Premium sedan in India, this the 7th generation ES300h comes in at a starting price of Rs. 59.13 Lakh ex showroom. Lexus had launched the 7th gen ES300h globally only 5 months back and they have got it now into India. Infact our market is one of the few countries that gets the car model initially on sale.
The latest version of the ES300h boasts of a flamboyant styling outside and on the inside. This model is based on its larger version the ES500h. Based on a all new platform which is larger than the older one the car is now 66mm longer, 5mm lower and 45 mm wider than its predecessors and now gets 50mm extra wheelbase . The all new platform also gets in a lot of new styling bits to this Premium Sedan that includes all new chrome belted grill with distinct slashes on either side of the bumper giving it a very sporty appearance. Lexus is also offering the F-Sport model on the car for the very first time ever.
Powering the Lexus ES300h is a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder motor that is mated to a hybrid powertrain. The combined horsepower generated is 215 bhp thats 15% more than its predecessor. The powertrain is mated to an 8-speed gearbox. As the ES in India is available only with a hybrid power train, fuel economy is rated at an impressive 22.37 kmpl. The ES300h is also Euro 6 compliant. In terms of safety, the ES300h gets 10 airbags and a host of electronic passive driver aids.
