Jaguar Land Rover India today announced the opening of bookings for the MY 2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. We had spotted the Range Rover being tested in Mumbai and had predicted its launch.
The current Range Rover has been on sale since 2013. Land Rover had revealed the facelifted version of the Range Rover range officially late last year. Noticible updates include a restyled grille, all new Matrix Pixel LED headlamps and a all new front bumper. On the inside the changes a new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with 10-inch touchscreen displays, additional charging ports, Activity Key enabling owners to lock and unlock vehicle without carrying key fob. The updated Range Rover also comes with Up to 17 connection points including domestic plug sockets, USB, HDMI and 12-volt are all available; 4G Wi-Fi hotspots for up to eight devices. Updates inside include new luxurious seats that offer over 25 massage programmes and can recline by up to 40 degrees. These functions can also be controlled from a smartphone.
The 2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport would be available with four engine options each. A 3.0 Litre TDV6 with 258PS and 600Nm of torque while there is also an 4.0 Litre SDV8 340Ps with 740 Nm of torque as Diesel options. On the Petrol engine list for the 2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport there is the 3.0 Litre V8 Super Charged engine with 340PS of power and 450 NM of torque. Top of the line engine option will be the 5.0 Litre V8 Super Charged engine with 525PS of power and 625NM of brute power on offer.
