The Jeep Grand Cherokee petrol is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 engine that develops 290 PS and 347 Nm. The engine is mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission. Air suspension is also standard on the Summit variants of the Jeep Grand Cherokee range along with 20-inch, polished aluminum alloy wheels. There is also a new electronic power steering system that replaces the old hydraulic system. All trims, across the range now get an acoustic windshield which helps reduce noise, while the Park Sense rear park assist system can now automatically apply the vehicle’s brakes.

Commenting on the move, Kevin Flynn – President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “Our directly-imported Jeep SUV portfolio is now complete with the addition of the Grand Cherokee Summit Petrol. Latest models of the New Jeep® Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited, at new India prices, are available with immediate effect at all Jeep-exclusive and FCA dealerships across the country.
