Isuzu MU-X specs leak, Launch confirmed on 11th May
The Isuzu MU-X will rival the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. It will powered by a 3.0-litre diesel motor and will come with a Terrain Command 4-wheel drive system.
The Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour is all set to receive a new rival in the form of the Isuzu MU-X. The launch is now confirmed for 11th May but the specifications of the mammoth SUV have been already leaked. The Isuzu MU-X is based on the Chevrolet Trailblazer and shares it’s looks with the macho Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. It will be available with a 4-wheel drive system as standard with a variable low and high range mode. It will be powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that develops 174 HP and 380 Nm. A 5-speed sequential shift automatic gearbox does duty of transferring power to the wheels.
The engine is rated to deliver 13.8 kmpl and comes with a fuel tank worth 65 litres. Suspension duties are carried out by independent double wishbone coil springs and a penta-link setup at the rear. The car is based on a ladder frame chassis and can seat 7 adults. The Isuzu MU-X runs on 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and gets a 300mm discs upfront and larger 318mm rear disc. Safety features include ABS, EBD, BA, ESC, traction control and dual airbags.
On the insides, the Isuzu MU-X will come with a 7-inch infotainment system with a 10-inch roof mounted DVD entertainment system, 8-speaker system, 6 way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry and go, and leather upholstery on seats and steering wheel. The SUV will be offered with a 3 year or 1 lakh km warranty and 4 different shades for the exteriors namely Silky White Pearl, Orchid Brown Mica, Cosmic Black Mica and Titanium Silver Metallic.
