Hyundai launches Grand i10 NIOS Sportz at ₹7.68 lakh

Hyundai Motor India has launched a new Sportz variant of the Grand i10 Nios in India today. The new variant comes powered with the  1.0 litre turbocharged Petrol engine. Prices for the Grand i10 NIOS Sportz variant starts at ₹7.68 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai had unveiled the Grand i10 Nios Sportz at the Auto Expo 2020 earlier this year. Powering the Grand i10 NIOS Sportz is the 1-litre turbocharged GDi petrol engine that is BS6 compliant and hits out a meaty 100PS of power at 6000 rpm and produces 172Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Hyundai claims an ARAI certified mileage figure of 20.3 kmpl for this variant of the Grand i10 NIOS.

The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Sportz is available in two color options –  a single-tone variant priced at ₹7.68 lakh and a dual-tone paint option that is priced at ₹7.73 lakh. The dual-tone body color option is available in Fiery Red with a black roof and Polar White with a black roof top options, while the other single tone body color options include the Aqua Teal and Polar White. The NIOS Sportz gets an  all-black interior scheme to go with the sporty appeal.

It may be recalled that Hyundai Motor India had launched the Grand i10 Nios earlier, the premium hatch comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre diesel engine option apart from the one launched today. The prices for the Grand i10 NIOS start at ₹4.99 lakh and go all the way up to ₹8 lakh for the fully loaded top end diesel variant.
