Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) today announced a price hike on its models effective from August 2018. The price hike would be in the range of Rs 10,000 – Rs 35,000 across their lineup.
As per Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd. the price hike is due to the increasing pressure on input costs, impact of custom duty hike over past few months and higher freight rates. This is the main reason that Honda is increasing the prices of their cars. He added that the increased price will be effective from 1 August 2018 and the introductory price of the recently launched All New Amaze will also be revised from August.
Honda currently sells the Brio hatch, Jazz premium hatch, Amaze compact sedan, WR-V compact crossover, BR-V crossover, City sedan, CRV SUV and the Accord hybrid premium sedan in India with prices ranging from Rs. 4.73 Lakh to Rs. 43.21Lakh. The All New Honda Civic is expected next along with the New CR-V both with diesel options on them.
