Hero MotoCorp Ventures into Electric Mobility, Launches VIDA V1 Electric Scooter at Rs. 1.45 Lakh

India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp today launched its first ever electric scooter, under its new electric vehicle subsidiary – VIDA. The all-new electric scooter is called the ‘VIDA V1’.

VIDA V1 Plus claims range of 143kms and the V1 Pro claims a range of 165kms. The electric scooters can be charged using a portable charger which is provided with the scooter and there will be public fast charging stations which are currently being setup by VIDA. Moreover, the battery pack is removable, so it can be removed easily charged wherever there is a power outlet available.

Hero MotoCorp’s VIDA V1 comes loaded with features such as cruise control, riding modes, keyless control, SOS alert, follow-me home headlamps, find-me lights, LED lighting all around and the highlight being
a decently sized 7-inch TFT display that comes with smart connected features.

Hero MotoCorp’s electric scooter will be available in two variants – VIDA V1 Plus and VIDA V1 Pro and the prices start at ₹1.45/- lakhs for the V1 Plus and ₹1.59/- lakhs for the V1 Pro respectively. (All prices are ex-showroom).

The V1 will be first launched in Bengaluru, Jaipur and New Delhi. Deliveries will begin from the second week of December 2022. Stay tuned for our first ride review which will be coming next week.
