Hero MotoCorp is on a rapid expansion spree on the global front and a big step taken in this direction is the Dawn 125 for Africa. Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two wheeler maker has showcased the Dawn 125 motorcycle at the ongoing EICMA Motorcycle Show at Milan. The new motorcycle was unveiled at EICMA by Mr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp. The Dawn 125 motorcycle is targeted for the African region and would be sold in the commercial segment. The motorcycle focuses to be a durable product catering to basic customer demands like strength, durability and fuel efficiency.

The Hero Dawn 125 comes powered by an air-cooled, 4 Stroke, OHC Single Cylinder engine that delivers maximum power of 6.72 kW (9 BHP) @ 7000 RPM and maximum torque of 10.35 Nm @ 4000 RPM. Features on the Dawn 125 include large headlight, metallic front fender, elongated seat, wide rear carrier and large footrests. The motorcycle is available at dealerships across major African markets, including, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Mozambique among others. There are no immediate plans from Hero MotoCorp for launching the Dawn 125 in India for now. It indeed is a proud moment for us as the Indian manufacturer sets foot in the African region.

Hero MotoCorp recently launched the Achiever 150 in India which was positioned as a powerful commuter bike. It is available in a total of 3 colours and comes with features like a analog instrument cluster, side stand indicator and Automatic Headlamp. The 150cc single cylinder motor develops 13.6 PS of max power and comes the company’s patented i3S Engine Start/Stop technology that shuts off the engine when the bike comes to a standstill and the clutch fully disengaged. The engine comes back to life when the clutch is engaged.
