Ford has introduced new versions of the 2018 EcoSport with the EcoSport S and the EcoSport Signature Edition today. The new variants of the Ford EcoSport would be available in Petrol and Diesel engine options. The Limited duration EcoSport Signature Edition also comes with Sunroof as an option pack on Titanium variant and is priced at Rs.10.40 Lakh for petrol & Rs.10.99 Lakh for diesel. The EcoSport S comes powered with the renowned 1.0L EcoBoost petrol engine with 6 speed manual transmission and is priced at Rs. 11.37 Lakh while there is also the diesel version of the EcoSport S priced at Rs. 11.89 Lakh.
Ford had launched the 2018 EcoSport a few months back except for the 1.0L Ecoboost powered variant that joins the lot today. The EcoSport S variant gets sun roof, all-new smoked HID headlamps with dark inserts and a more prominent black treatment to the fog lamp bezel. The dark theme has been carried all through the exterior design with a blacked out grille, black painted roof & roof rails and 17-inch smoke alloys for a more noticeable road presence.
On the inside the EcoSport S feature orange accents on the seats as well as instrument panel. The EcoSport S also comes with new, bigger 4.2-inch digital information cluster along with the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. Driving the EcoSport S Petrol is the 1.0L Ecoboost engine that has class leading 125PS of power and 170Nm of torque mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.
The Diesel version comes powered by the tried and trusted 1.5L TDCi engine with 100PS of power and is capable of 23kmpl of fuel economy. Needless to say this the top end version of the EcoSport comes with SYNC 3 with an 8-inch touchscreen and six airbags as standard.
With the S version Ford has also launched a Limited Edition Signature Edition of the EcoSport today. This version comes with more imposing grille with chrome surround and Diamond cut 17” alloys, black fog-lamp bezelalongwith all round graphics, rear spoilerand roof rails.
On the inside the interiors come with subtle use of blue accents on seat stitching, centre console and instrument panel. You can also get this the EcoSport Signature Edition as an option pack on the car’s Titanium variant.
The engine options on the EcoSport Signature Edition remain the same with options of 1.5L TDCi Diesel with 100PS of power and 1.5L three-cylinder TiVCT petrol engine with 123PS of power.
The new Ford EcoSport is available with seven colour options – Lightning Blue, Canyon Ridge, Race Red, Diamond White, Absolute Black, Moondust Silver and Smoke Grey.
