FCA India has launched the Fiat Linea 125S and Punto Evo PowerTech in a updated more powerful avatars in the Indian market. The company has also given the Punto Evo and Avventura added equipment.
The Fiat Linea was launched way back in 2008 which was later followed by the Punto hatchback. It got successive updates throughout its lifetime in the form of new engines and added equipment and more recently and complete facelift. This brought changes to both the exteriors and interiors of the Linea and the Punto but it still could not capitalize on any of these factors. The company has now yet again updated the Linea and Punto with more powerful engines across its line up. The Fiat Linea 125S now develops a segment best 125 PS of max power while the 93 PS diesel engine in the Punto and Avventura has been made standard across all variants.
The Fiat Linea 125S gets features like a 5-inch multi-functional touch-screen infotainment system with navigation that supports Bluetooth, Capacitive touch screen, SD card facility, USB-enabled, navigation from ‘Map My India’ and rear view camera capability in addition to exclusive features such as the soft-touch IP with ambient lighting, rear sun curtain, disc brakes on all four wheels and dual stage driver airbags. The Fiat Linea 125 S is also the longest sedan in its segment with a length of 4,596mm, has the best in segment ground clearance of 190 mm and a large 500-litre boot.
The Punto Evo PowerTech and Avventura PowerTech will be now offered with the 1.3-litre diesel with 93 PS tune on all variants. The 5-inch multi-functional touch screen infotainment system with navigation has been made standard across all variants too namely Active, Dynamic and Emotion. The Fiat Linea 125S has been priced at Rs. 7.82 lakhs while the Punto Evo PowerTech starts at a price of Rs. 6.81 lakhs. The Fiat Avventura PowerTech has been priced at Rs. 7.87 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
