Just as the 2019 BMW 3-Series gets ready for its India launch our Ace Sharp Shooter Arya Borhade has caught it in its final test stage in Pune. BMW is all set to launch the latest generation of the best selling model the 3-Series soon.

BMW had first showcased the latest generation 3-Series at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. This is the 7th generation of the BMW 3-Series and is one of the highest selling car models from the iconic premium car maker from Munich.

On the design front the 2019 BMW 3-series is now a lot sharper and larger as mentioned. The premium car now looks very sporty and demands attention. This the 2019 BMW 3-Series comes with a long list of updates that includes exteriors, interiors and also loads of features on its equipment list. The  3-Series looks totally refreshed and lot larger in dimensions though the overall weight of the car has been reduced by around 55kgs as compared to the outgoing version. The latest 3-Series stands at 4709mm in length, 1827mm in width, 1422mm in height and has a larger wheelbase thats now larger by 41mm. The extended wheelbase will directly increase in the overall cabin space and legroom.

On the equipment upgrade list the 2019 BMW 3-Series will come loaded with safety and driver assist goodies which also includes pedestrian collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane control assist, steering assist, and various collision alerts.

Also standard on the feature list would be new design LED headlights and tail lights, 3-zone climate control unit, 8.8 inch full digital instrument cluster with voice and gesture compatibility.

On the engine front the 2019 BMW 3-Series will be available in two diesel and one petrol versions. There will be the 320d, 320d xDrive and the 330i. Trim levels will include the SE Sport and the M Sport on the lineup.

Powering the Diesel version will be the 2.0Liter 4-cylinder motor with two state of tunes- one with 187bhp of power and 400Nm of torque for the 320d and the other version tuned to 263bhp of power and 580Nm of torque on the xDrive. The 330i petrol version will get its power from 2.0Liter 4-cylinder motor making 255bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. Transmission options on all the versions would be taken care by the 8-speed automatic transmission.

There also could be a Plug-in Hybrid version the 330e but at a later stage, this version will get its power from a 2.0Liter petrol engine working in tandem with the electric motor which will add 87bhp of power to the 255bhp that the petrol engine makes.
