Ducati India today announced the availability of the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak across its dealerships in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. It has been priced at Rs. 20.06 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Pikes Peak version aims at bringing out the sporty character of the Multistrada 1200 S, drawing its inspiration from the Italian company’s past victory in the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado, one of the most challenging hill-climb races in the world. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak boasts of high-performance specifications including a fully adjustable Ohlins fork and premium quality TTX36 rear shock. Ultralight carbon fibre componentry and the Ducati Performance Termignoni carbon fibre silencer, enhance the motorcycle’s competitive spirit.
On the occasion, Ravi Avalur, Managing Director, Ducati India said: “The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is a motorcycle in which touring capability meets performance. With its race inspired looks and cutting edge technology, the Pikes Peak is in a league of its own and we’re sure enthusiasts will appreciate this version of the Multistrada.” The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is powered by the Ducati Testastretta twin-cylinder engine with cutting-edge technology. The 1198cc motor delivers 160 HP of max power at 9,500 RPM and 136 Nm of torque at 7,500 RPM. It also features Bosch electronic fuel injection system, elliptical throttle bodies with Ride-by-Wire and equivalent 56 mm diameter. The bike weighs 231 kgs and has a wheelbase of 1,529mm.
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak comes equipped with Cornering ABS, Cornering Lights on the full-LED headlight, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control and Cruise Control; the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is replete with technology. Also, the Bluetooth module together with the Ducati Multimedia System lets riders connect the bike to a smartphone and manage key multimedia functions via the switchgears and displays information on the colour TFT dashboard. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is available in a dedicated white red and black livery with a Ducati red chassis.
