Benelli Tornado 302 booking commences; deliveries by July

Benelli Tornado 302 was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.

DSK Benelli, the authorized sellers of the Benelli range of motorcycles in India have confirmed that the company will be launching the Benelli Tornado 302 in our country next month in July 2017.

DSK Benelli has already started accepted bookings for the mid-size bike. As per information coming in, the dealerships have started taking booking amount of Rs.25000 to reserve your copy which is fully refundable.

The bike has already been put for display in many DSK Benelli dealerships from June 10 and test rides of the bike has already begun to be given to the prospective customers. DSK Benelli has hinted that the deliveries of the Benelli Tornado 302 will commence in July 2017. The bike has already been cleared for sale by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).

Powering the Benelli Tornado 302 is a 300 cc inline two cylinder engine that carries a Double Over Head Camshaft (DOHC). The engine produces 35.3 PS of maximum power at 12,000 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 9000 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Benelli Tornado 302 has a steel trellis frame as its platform with the front wheels getting a 110/70-17 section tyres with 260 mm twin petal disc and four piston calipers. The rear gets a 150/60-17 profile tyres with a single 240 mm disc and single piston calipers for the braking duties. ABS braking system should also be available as part of the package. Other important features include split seats, clip on handle bars and a 14 liter fuel tank.

Suspension duties are carried out by 41 mm upside down front forks at the front and a mono shock at the rear.

The Benelli Tornado 302 will compete against the likes of Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
