Benelli has launched the Leoncino 500 Scrambler motorcycle in India. The Benelli Leoncino 500 is priced at ₹4.79 Lakh Ex Showroom India making it the most affordable scrambler in the country.
The Benelli Leoncino 500 is available in two colours options namely Steel Gray & Leoncino Red. In terms of looks the Benelli Leoncino has the upright typical scrambler styling with LED powered headlamps and sleek front fenders to the Matt black forks. The seating position is also fairly upright with the stylish fuel tank in dualtone finish. The Benelli Leoncino stands at 2160mm in length and has a overall height of 1160mm. The scrambler has a ground clearance of 145mm and a wheelbase that of 1460mm. Fuel tank capacity stands at 13.5 litres.
The front suspension is a 50mm Inverted Telescopic Fork while at the rear lateral hydraulic shock absorber with spring preload and rebound adjustment take care of the proceedings. Braking in the front is handled by 320mm Dual Discs with radially mounted 4-piston calipers while at the rea 260mm Single Disc with single piston floating caliper do the honors. Dual-channel Switchable ABS Is standard. The front tyre size on the Benelli Leoncino measures 120/70 – 17 while the rear tyre is of 160/60 – 17 spec.
The Benelli Leoncino is powered with the DOHC, twin-cylinder four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 500cc engine, which produces a maximum power output of 47.5PS at 8500rpm and maximum torque of 46Nm at 6000rpm. The 8-valve motor is mated to a slick shifting 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle also gets the steel trellis frame.
