Launched at an introductory price of Rs. 1.85 lakhs (ex-showroom), the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z makes a striking entrance. One of its key highlights is its powertrain, which adopts the same liquid-cooled, 373cc, single-cylinder engine as the Dominar 400.
Watch our quick walkaround review below:
This engine delivers an impressive 40 HP at 8800 RPM and a torque of 35 Nm at 6500 RPM, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox featuring assist and slipper clutch technology. Bajaj claims a top speed of 154 km/hr for the NS400Z.
In terms of design, the NS400Z boasts an edgy aesthetic, featuring sharp tank extensions and a unique headlight setup with a central LED projector encircled by lightning bolt-shaped DRLs. This aggressive styling is complemented by premium components like a 43 mm USD fork, preload-adjustable monoshock, and a high-performance braking system consisting of a 320mm front disc and a 4-piston Grimeca axial caliper, accompanied by a 230 mm rear disc.
Equipped with 110/70-17 front and 140/70-R17 rear tires and boasting a ground clearance of 168 mm, the NS400Z promises both agility and stability on the road.
Additionally, the NS400Z offers modern rider aids, including four riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, Offroad), three levels of traction control, and switchable dual-channel ABS, all accessible through a vibrant color LCD display. The instrument cluster also provides features like navigation control, music control, call management, lap timer, missed call and SMS notifications, and brightness control.
Despite its performance-oriented design, the NS400Z maintains a relatively lightweight chassis, weighing 174 kg with a fully fueled 12-liter tank. Moreover, its comfortable seat height of 805 mm ensures suitability for riders of varying heights, enhancing its overall versatility.
Bookings for the NS400Z are now open at all Bajaj showrooms and the company’s website, requiring a token amount of Rs. 5000/-. Deliveries are expected to begin in the first week of June.
