Bajaj Avenger 160 ABS launched at ₹82,253
Bajaj Auto Ltd, the Pune based manufacturer has launched the Avenger 160 with Single channel ABS for the Indian market priced at ₹82,253 Ex Showroom Delhi. The New 160cc variant will replace the 180cc Avenger, Bajaj launched back in March 2018. With just 1 year into production, Bajaj has pulled the plug on the 180 Avenger.
The New Avenger 160cc makes 15ps of power @8500rpm and 13.5Nm of torque @7000rpm, 0.5ps less than the 180cc variant it replaces. The engine is similar though, Bajaj has just replaced the block with a smaller bore block piston kit.
Since its introduction in 2005, the Bajaj Avenger has carved a niche for itself as a cruiser. The Avenger Street 160 with ABS blends the ‘roadster’ and ‘cruiser’ design languages with street control handlebar, low-slung seat and alloy wheels. The new Avenger Street 160 will bring a sporty cruiser experience with the safety of single channel ABS to the large set of emerging 150-160cc users. This bike will create a mass appeal of its own for those young customers seeking cruiser style.

The Avenger 160 will directly compete with the Suzuki Intruder cruiser bike, and other sportier models that currently occupy the 160cc segment. The complete mechanical and cosmetics of the 180cc avenger setup is carried forward into the 160cc variant which itself looks fresh. The New Avenger 160 will be available in Spicy Red and Ebony Black body colour options.
