Audi launches the A4 facelift starting at ₹ 42.34 Lakh
Audi has finally updated and launched the latest facelift of its best selling car model , the A4 in India starting at ₹ 42.34 Lakh . The A4 in its 2021 guise gets a mid life update which has brought in a huge array of changes , most important being the sharper looks and a bigger engine .
Although there are a lot of changes in the design and the interiors , the most prominent change is the 2.0 Litre mill which puts down a strong 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 7 speed S-Tronic gearbox . This setup also gets a mild hybrid with add ons like regenarative braking which all together not just add up to give you a good fuel economy but also propels the A4 from 0-100 in a striking 7.3 seconds and then to a top speed of 240kmph.
On the outside the first thing that you notice is the sharp designing the A4 gets , the striking multi slot DRL in the front with the complimenting chrome bits and a new hood make it stand out of the crowd , the new design also carried the sharper lines all the way to the side and then to the back . The side profile while being sharper does not stray too far away from the outgoing models silhouette . The rear is again a completely new design which carries the latest gen Audi genes , especially the sweeping rear lights and a dual exhaust setup . All in all the A4 is right up there with the best looking cars in its segment and maybe even a few segments higher .
Stepping inside you will notice the interior gets updated which make it well suited for using the car as the cabin space and style benchmark for the segment . The 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system , all digital intrument cluster and perfectly weighted leather wrapped steering wheel gives you a plush wheel the moment you step in . The central console is well appointed . The touch panel that was earlier used to operated the AVN unit has been replaced with a nifty storage space . The addition of a wireless chargers and a dedicated dial for song and volume control just adds to the convenience factor . The A4 gets a 3 zone climate control and ambient lighting and also the all important sunroof . The seats are perfectly contoured and provide the right amount of support and comfort for all the occupants , while the front seats are 8 way adjustable the rear seats have good legroom and a well appointed arm rest .
Audi has not been at its best for the past couple of years but with the back to back launches and the latest A4 , it looks like Audi is set to take the India market head on for the year 2021 . The new Audi A4 will be competing with models like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series, Volvo S60 and the Jaguar XE.
