2022 Hyundai Tucson Bookings Open
Hyundai has opened the bookings for the All New Tucson in India. Prices for the Tucson will be revealed on the 4th of August. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is available in Petrol and Diesel. This now becomes the Flagship model for the Korean car maker and also the first Hyundai car to come with ADAS safety feature. Hyundai also claims that the 2022 Tucson comes with 29 segment first features. In terms of exterior styling the Tucson comes with a new design language that sports a parametric design grille in dark chrome with neatly integrated LED DRLs, vertically bumper-mounted LED headlamps and a silver skid plate at the bottom.
The side profile gets sharp character lines that make it stand out when viewed from this angle, the wheel arches get sharp design cladding and also sport all new design alloy wheels
The rear profile looks strikingly attractive and different with the wide split tail lamps in claw design and an illuminated light stripe that connects the lights.
On the insides the all new cabin includes an 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system, a four-spoke steering wheel, ventilated and heated seats in the front, rear reclining seats.
On the connectivity side the Tucson comes with Hyundai Bluelink with over 60 connected car features. The SUV also gets touch controls for the HVAC system, leatherette upholstery, toggle switch control for drive shift instead of the gear shifter and a panoramic sun roof, wireless mobile charger, Ambient lighting, sounds of nature.
In terms of safety, the Tucson features Hyundai SmartSense with Level 2 ADAS capability, six airbags, ESP, hill descent control, hill assist control, and all disc brakes.
The new Tucson will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.The 2.0-litre petrol engine hits out 156ps at 6,200rpm and 192Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. This engine comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. You also have the chart topper 2.0-litre VGT diesel engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission this engine hits out 186ps at 4,000rpm and 416Nm of torque at 2,750rpm. You also get an option of HTRAC which is the All Wheel Drive system on the diesel variant.
The Hyundai Tucson goes up against the likes of the Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, Citroen C5 AirCross in its segment.
