Hyundai Motors India Launches Xcent Special Edition

Hyundai Motor India Ltd., the country’s largest exporter and the second largest car manufacturer today introduced a special edition Xcent, commemorating 20 years of the company’s foundation in India.

The Hyundai Xcent was launched in India in 2014 and has since then sold over 1,20,000 units. It was launched in a segment which was dominated by the Maruti DZire but in spite of that sold very strongly due to the combination of a performance, fuel efficiency, comfort and safety. Hence to celebrate the success of the Xcent and also completing 20 years in India, Hyundai has launched this special edition car. The Xcent Special Edition exterior features a boot lid spoiler and side body graphics, front radiator grille chrome and rear chrome garnish which adds a dose of premiumness to the car.

The interiors of the special edition car includes a 6.2-inch touchscreen audio-video system and sporty Red and Black seats. The vehicle will be available in ‘S’ trim with both petrol and diesel variants, in pure white and sleek silver color options. The Hyundai Xcent is the sedan version of the Grand i10 hatchback and is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that develops 83 BHP and 1.1-litre diesel motor that develops 70 BHP. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. On the safety front, all variants of the Hyundai Xcent are fitted with a driver airbag and ABS as standard fitment right from the base variants.
